Lack of confidence is a growing problem amongst teengers and the young and it is getting worse with every generation. However, it is a very big problem for most adults as well. Learning to develop your confidence can be a hard process if it is done the wrong way. However with tehse 2 easy self hypnosis techniques you can regain the confidence that is rightfully yours!
You may be aware of this simple fact, or you may not, but all of us are born supremely confident. Unfortunately, well meaning peers, parents and the world train us out of this natural state and into a mindset of doubt, fear and disbelief.
Through simple self hypnosis techniques you can regain, what is your natural and normal internal state of, confidence. In fact, it’s easy!
It is much easier to uncover a natural ability than it is to develop one. Think of all the athletes and sports stars that just seem to have been born with a natural talent. They find it much easier to develop their skill than someone who has to work extra hard because they were not born with the natural ability. As far as self confidence goes you are just like these great stars. You were born with the natural ability to be confident in all situations. By using self hypnosis you can remove the layers of negativity that are covering your natural confidence!
A baby does not doubt itself in any way. A baby will try to walk even though it can’t. A baby does not wonder if it can walk it just keeps trying because this new life knows that it is capable. It just keeps trying because it does not believe it can fail! A baby will keep trying to speak until he/she masters the art. A baby is supremely confident in itself and its abilities. You were a baby once and were over-flowing with confidence.

Once the crispness of autumn hits the air it is a good indicator that it is time to get the boat ready for winter storage. If only there was a way to simplify this process. Well, good news, there is! If you can make a comprehensive list of what needs to be done to properly winterize your boat. If you are new to this process then check online or with your local marina and they should have one printed up for their customers to use. There are several key issues that have to be addressed but don’t be intimidated, it sounds scarier than it really is, IF you are organized.

Include preparing the engine, plumbing, and electronics first. Then address any other things that your boat might require. Spend some time creating the initial list because you can use it each year and it is sure to pay off especially because it addresses your boat specifically. You will be able to relax over the winter knowing that your boat is safe and sound and will be ready to hit the water in the spring. Possibly this might also be the best time for you to tend to some of those things, little imperfections or maintenance that you have been procrastinating on all summer such as little dings, exhaust, etc.

First, clean your boat both inside and out very thoroughly. Plus while you are doing that you might find some little surprises that you weren’t aware of that need to be tended to. Anything that is electronic needs to be stored where it is warm and dry and you should also take such things as fire extinguishers, sails, curtains, and PFD’s off of the boat for safe storage on land. Clean out the refrigerator and always be sure to leave it propped open. This will eliminate any mildew from developing over the winter months.

When it comes to the engine cooling systems and the plumbing, flush the systems and fill them with virgin propylene glycol antifreeze. Remember, this is protecting your drinking system for the summer so make sure you don’t use any recycled products. If you really don’t feel confident in doing these things then consider hiring the job out to a boat mechanic. This will avoid costly repairs for the upcoming season. Make sure that bilge spaces are very clean and oil free. If you live in a region that endures harsh winters then consider putting an absorbent sock in it while it is in storage.

One big consideration is where you are going to store your boat and likely this will depend greatly on your budget. For all obvious reasons it would be best if your boat could be stored in a climate controlled storage facility where is will be safe and dry. However, these can cost a few bucks. A more affordable option is to store your boat outside and under a covering but this option will include allowing your boat to withstand at least some of the elements. It is a cheaper option though. Some have opted for shrink wrapping their boat but your boat will still be outdoors and have to endure the brutal winter temperatures.

Always place your boat in storage with a full tank of gas and be sure to add a fuel stabilizer. If you use ethanol fuel then just drain the tank and clean it well before you fill it next season. Any lead acid batteries need to come out and be stored where they can be fully charged and warm, possibly a heated garage. Read the battery manufacturers directions on how to store it for the winter months and follow that guide. Sometimes it is in your best interest to utilize portable heaters or air dryers on the boat while it is being stored. It really depends on your boat and where it will be stored.

Whatever choices you decide on just make sure that you have supported the hull because if you failed to do so you will run the risk of your bulkheads cracking, stringers can break, and there can be a misalignment in the engine. This is why people often choose cradles for their boats because they offer the proper support in the right areas.

These suggestions can be of great help to you when boat storage times comes rolling along as it does every year. It might seem at first that it is best to go with the cheaper route for storage but in the end it might have been easier and cheaper to just rent the climate controlled unit.

In this world we are living today their is a manual, course or a training for almost any kind of carreer we want to pursue.  When we have children there is no manual that comes with the birth of that specific baby. There are so many different personalities of people in the world, so it is difficult to think that every child or parent can ever be the same.  That is why my article is only advice as I am not trying to undermine your integrity or way of bringing up your child.

Firstly I would like to say that the most important aspect for a happy child is happy parents. You should connect with your spouse, there should be a sound communication level between you. There has to be love and respect.

Secondly to develop a child self esteem, the parent should have a high self esteem.  I think that when you have a high self esteem the following attributes should help you achieve this: A spiritual connection with your creator, A happy and carefree attitude, A genorous heart and soul, A compassionate human being, A good listener.  There are so much more but it could go on forever.

Thirdly a child looks up to the parents, when they come into this open world innocently they should have the parents as role models.  They mimic everything we do, so we have to be proper in our actions.  We have to shower our kids with love and affection each and everyday, hugs, reminders of how much we love them.  Tell them that we are proud of them, make them feel that they can depend on us as kids.  Advise them to choose the right friends is very important, advise them to connect with their creator spiritually.  Teach them about respect for others and also explain to them that not everyone would want to to be their friend and that we get different types of people in this world.  Also teach them to assert themselves so that they could learn to cope with peer pressure and all the other obstacles in life.  Give them a solid foundation and a encourage them to always strive to use their full potential in life.

Many of you are familiar with Emotional Intelligence. According to Daniel Goleman’s model, Self-Awareness is one of two domains in the area of Personal Competence. The second one is Self-Management which is not covered in this article.

You might think of Self-Awareness as setting the stage for your life. For that reason, it as an essential starting place from which you build the other important aspects of your life.

There are three areas in the Self-Awareness domain of Emotional Intelligence:

- Emotional Self-Awareness.

- Accurate Self-Assessment.

- Self-Confidence.

Emotional Self-Awareness is the ability to recognize your emotions and their effects. It has been said that there is no thinking without feeling and vice versa. Although we all have blind spots where we do not recognize our feelings, the more aware we are of what we are experiencing, the more learning is possible.

Emotions activate and chemically stimulate the brain. They are a critical source of information for learning and memory. Individuals who are high in emotional awareness:

- Know what they are feeling and why.

- Understand the connection between their feelings and what they think, say and do.

- Know how their feelings directly affect performance.

- Are aware of their values and goals.

Accurate Self-Assessment is the ability to know your inner resources, abilities and limits. We can have blind spots about our strengths and limitations, especially during times of stress when we tend to go on “automatic pilot.” Blind spots, among other things, can cause us to:

- Set unrealistic goals.

- Push others too hard.

- Need to seem perfect.

Individuals who are high in accurate self-assessment:

- Are aware of strengths and limitations.

- Learn more from experience.

- Are reflective and have a sense of humor.

- Are open to constructive feedback and self-development.

Self-Confidence is the ability to have a sense of your self-worth and accurately know your strengths. When self-confidence is appropriately high, you believe in what you can do with the skills you have. Anxiety levels tend to be low. Individuals who are self-confident:

- Welcome difficult assignments and challenges.

- Are self-assured.

- Can voice unpopular views.

- Are decisive and resilient.

Emotional intelligence is learned through experience, reflection and modeling over time. Time must be set aside with someone you trust and respect that will allow you to experiment with and practice new behaviors, thoughts and feelings to the point of mastery. The environment needs to be supportive, emotionally engaging and offer time for practice.

If you are interested in increasing your Self-Awareness, the following steps are necessary:

1. Believe self-improvement is important.

2. Know who you want to be.

3. Know your strengths and limitations as well as your values.

4. Seek out feedback – how you are perceived by others to determine the gap between who you want to be and who you are presently.

5. Work with a supportive, encouraging person you trust (a coach is ideal) who can guide and hold you accountable as you experiment with new thoughts, feelings and behavior in order to build on your strengths.

6. Practice these new behaviors over time until your ideal self is realized.

Increasing the three areas of Self-Awareness is worth the effort. It establishes the foundation upon which to build relationships and handle the challenges in your personal and professional life.
